Interior Ministry of Punjab on Thursday sent a summary to Chief Minister (CM) for the deployment of Rangers in the province, reported Media News.

According to the summary, Rangers will be given limited power for 60 days. Summary containing recommendations has been sent to the CM. Rangers will be given limited power for 60 days under Rangers Ordinance 1959.

Rangers could be able to work together with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) after attaining power. In the summary, Pakistan Rangers were also recommended to be included in the Joint Investigation Teams (JIT).
