Karachi Rangers’ Special Powers Extended For 77 days

Special powers granted to the Rangers, in light of the ongoing operation in Karachi against crime and terrorist elements, have been extended by 77 days, according to the Spokesperson for Sindh’s Chief Minister (CM) House.

Karachi Rangers’ special powers extended for 77 days

According to the details, Shah has approved the extension of Rangers special powers. The powers were extended on the basis of the Anti-Terrorism Act. Meanwhile the decision for extension has been taken for the period of 4th May to 19th July.

According the granted powers, Rangers have the right to investigate, question and prosecute the suspects involved in extortion, terrorism, kidnappings and target killings in Karachi.
