LAHORE: A Training of District Staff on computer, database functions and reporting was organized for Child Labor/Bonded Labor Complaint Handling Cell at District Office Labor, Nankan Sahib the other day.

The Training was organized by Progressive Research Institute of Socio-Economics, District
Government Nankana Sahab and Foundation For Future. The Child Labor/Bonded Labor complaint handling cell has been established at the District Office Labor (DOL) Nankana Sahab in collaboration with the Progressive Research Institute of Socio-Economics (PRISE).

The training of district staff on computer and database functions and reporting was organized with the facilitation of Foundation For Future. Mr. Imran Haider Tipu, (DOL), Mr. Muhammad Azam (Project Manager-PRISE) and other district staff was joined the training session. Mr. Malik Masood, Executive District Officer Community Development previously inaugurated the complaint handling cell.

Speaking on the occasion, the Imran Haider Tipu and Muhammad Azam said that Pakistan was signatory to the UN Charter, under which the country was obliged to protect the children from all sorts of discrimination, injustice and maltreatment. Furthermore Muhammad Azam said the efforts could be linked with the complaint cell established at Provincial Ombudsman by UNICEF. – PT
