President hosts dinner for ambassadors of Muslim countries

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Tuesday hosted an Iftar dinner for the ambassadors of Muslim countries here at Aiwan-e-Sadr.Those who were present during the Iftar dinner included among others ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Libya, Turkmenistan, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Tajikistan, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Algeria, Oman, UAE, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Maldives, Yemen and Iran.Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Dr. Asim Hussain, Syed Naveed Qamar and M. Salman Faruqui, Ms.  Mehreen Anwer Raja, Senator Dr. Babar Awan and Dr. Alamgir Babar also attended the Iftar dinner.After the Iftar, the President and the ambassadors offered Maghrib prayer together.The President also had separate one-to-one meetings with Dr. Asim Hussain, Adil Shah, Editor Pakistan Khappay, Senator Abbas Khan Afridi, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi and Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza Senior Provincial Minister Sindh. – APP
