PM stresses for making public sector enterprises profitable

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said that the government is taking concrete steps for restructuring of public sector corporations. Necessary funds, he maintained, have been made available to make them viable entities, which would not only help reduce the burden on the state exchequer but also make them profitable.The Prime Minister expressed these views in his meeting with Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Federal Minister for Industries and Production, who called on him at his chamber in the Parliament House.The Prime Minister instructed that necessary changes be made in the compositions of Board of Directors of all these public sector corporations to improve their performance.The Federal Minister apprised the Prime Minster of measures taken to accelerate the industrial development – APP
