ETIHAD BRINGS UAE 40TH CELEBRATIONS TO PAKISTAN

UAE Expo - inauguration with the PMKarachi: Large numbers of entrepreneurs from the UAE and Pakistan flocked to Karachi to attend the ‘UAE Expo – Magnificent 7’ that was sponsored by Etihad from November 30 to December 2 to mark the 40th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.

Etihad was named the ‘official airline’ of the event and exclusively provided premium travel services and hospitality to all guests flying in to attend the Expo along with sponsoring the Expo’s spectacular finale. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Yousuf Raza Gilani along with the UAE Minister for Foreign Trade, Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna inaugurated the expo which also included an investment conference and an exhibition featuring an array of innovative products and services from the UAE.

The Investment Conference organized by the Federation of Pakistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) featured eminent personalities, investors, diplomats and some leading social figures from both Pakistan and UAE.  Joost Den Hartog, Etihad’s Regional General Manager-Asia Pacific North & ISC, presented a paper in the conference entitled  “Investing in Pakistan – the ”.

Etihad also took part in the exhibition and the Etihad pavilion witnessed a large number of visitors who were curious to know more about the airline. The Expo’s closing ceremony included a fashion show by leading Pakistani and UAE designers and a lively performance by Etihad’s Brand Ambassadors – the renowned Pop-Rock band – “Strings”.
