Seven die as car plunges into Swat River

TIMERGARA: Seven members of a family, including three children, were killed when their car fell into Swat river at Badwan area of Lower Dir on Sunday evening, police and hospital sources said.

They said that a family hailing from Dargai, Malakand Agency, was returning when their car fell into Swat river from an under-construction bridge at Badwan. As a result, all seven members of the family, including Khalilur Rahman, his wife, their three children, his brother-in-law Amjad Hussain and wife, were killed.

Local people retrieved the bodies and took them to tehsil headquarters hospital, Chakdara. The sources said that the family had come to the area for an iftar at their in-laws house and was returning to Dargai when the incident occurred. They said that five bodies were sent to Dargai while that of Amjad and his wife were taken to Sihsadda, Chakdara. – Dunyanews
