Supreme Court takes suo motu notice in Karachi target killings
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has taken suo motu notice of on-going target killings and the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi.Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry took suo motu notice of Karachi situation and asked private television channels to provide footage of the unrest as well as CDs and DVDs of different programmes on Karachi law and order situation, a private TV channel reported.The court also sought details of present target killings in the city. The court also ordered to collect all record related to current incidents of violence in Karachi to be presented to the chief justice on August 24. – Brecorder
