Margalla police foil terrorist attempt

ISLAMABAD : Islamabad Margalla Police on Friday successfully foiled a terrorist attempt and arrested two terrorists and recovered suicide jackets from their possession.Terrorists Naeemullah Khan son of Azizullah Khan and Adnan Khan son of Inamullah Khan were arrested by police, who were planning to blow up a Masjid – Syedna Ali – situated in F-8/1 sector of the capital.According to details, Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Bani Ameen got information that two suicide bombers have entered the capital with the intention to blow themselves up during Jumma prayers.On the tip-off, he constituted a team comprising ASP Margalla Circle Faisal Bashir Memon, DSP CID Abdul Raziq, SHO Inspector Muhammad Lasi and Sub Inspector Muhammad Shafique to arrest the culprits.

The team adopting an effective strategy succeeded in tracing the two terrorists, who were waiting for “Fidai” (Suicide bomber) named Kafshi Khel Babo resident of district Bannu in the Mosque.According to preliminary investigation, there was a dispute of appointing leader of prayers (Imam) at the Mosque after the Mosque administration and residents dismissed Khateeb Qari Munir and appointed Qari Saleh Muhammad Saqi in 2008.The arrested terrorists have sympathy with the removed Khateeb and they wanted to take revenge from the administration and residents.Inspector General Kaleem Imam said Islamabad police has successfuly averted a great tragedy and protected the lives of innocent people.He announced to give cash prizes and appreciation certificates to members of the police team – App
