Differences surface up between federation, provinces on absorption of employees of five ministries

ISLAMABAD: Differences have emerged between federation and provinces on absorption of employees of the ministries being transferred to provinces in line with 18th amendment.The provinces have refused to accept the employees of all the ministries and divisions which are being devolved to them taking the plea that neither they have funds to pay salaries to them nor have they such number of vacant posts to absorb them, therefore, they be given more time in connection with their adjustment . They will be able to accept them when new posts are created for these employees ,provinces said.Sources told that the differences surfaced up during the meeting of committee for implementation of 18th amendment Wednesday when the representatives of provinces gave briefing to the committee about their preparations with regard to transferring of ministries.Senator Raza Rabbani in a brief chat with the media men after the meeting said chief secretary Punjab, chief secretary Balochistan and representatives of chief secretaries of Sindh and KPK attended the meeting and briefed the committee about the view point of their respective provincial governments.Detailed work was underway in connection with shifting of five ministries of the provinces, he said.
