Haqqani appreciates US Congressional support for flood recovery effort

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Husain Haqqani has thanked members of U.S. Congress for expressing support for his country in the face of enormous flood recovery challenge and humanitarian crisis. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a resolution that expresses sympathy with flood victims and backs continued U.S. and international assistance in the relief and rebuilding phases.

The resolution was introduced by Chairman of the House Foregin Affairs Committee chairman Howard Berman and enjoyed support of an overwhelming majority of the members. – App
