Rescue 1122 saved 388,514 emergency victims in 2011

Rescue 1122RAWALPINDI: Rescue 1122 saved 388,514 emergency victims during 2011 in 367,053 operations maintaining its average response time of less than seven minutes.

Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer reviewed the performance of Rescue 1122. The data reveals that the service rescued 388,514 emergency victims in 2011, while 369,561 emergency victims in 2010. The emergency calls to which Rescue 1122 responded in 2011 include 144,270 road accidents, 194,008 medical related emergencies, 8,360 fire incidents, 17,281 crime incidents, 1,008 drowning cases, 821 building collapse incidents, 170 explosions and 1,135 special rescue operations.

Rescue 1122 in 2011 also started fire service in remaining 24 districts of Punjab. The rescue operations responded by Rescue 1122 during 2011 include 71,699 emergency operations in Lahore, 31,149 in Faisalabad, 29,887 in Multan, 23,374 in Gujranwala, 15,730 in Bahawalpur, 13,511 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 12,341 in Rawalpindi, 12,027 in Sargodha, 11,407 in Sahiwal, 11,011 in Sialkot, 10,949 in Jhang, 9,410 in Rahim Yar Khan, 6,741 in Okara, 6,570 in Lodhran, 6,524 in Muzafargarh, 6,349 in Bahawalnagar, 6,276 in Pakpattan, 6,094 in Khanewal, 6,061 in Kasur, 5,820 in Sheikhupura, 5,449 in Rajanpur, 5,132 in Attock, 4,938 in Toba Tek Singh, 4,745 in Gujrat, 4,712 in Vehari, 4,461 in Murree, 4,126 in Bhakkar, 4,058 in Mianwali, 3,625 in Hafizabad, 3,620 in Narowal, 3,590 in Layyah, 3,450 in Nankana Sahib, 3,421 in Khushab, 3,149 in Jehlum, 2,870 in Chakwal and 2,777 in Mandibahauddin. – Dailytimes
